There are so many plant milk options at the grocery store, but did you know you can easily make your own at home? This allows you to save money and control the ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats (Use gluten free if desired)
4 cups of water
1 tbsp maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds. Do NOT over blend.
2. Place a nut milk bag over a large bowl then pour the oat milk into the nut milk bag. Gently squeeze the milk through the nut bag. If you over squeeze the oat pulp you can end up with slimy milk.
3. Transfer your oat milk to an air tight container and store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Shake very well before using. If the taste or texture changes, discard any unused milk. Discard the oat pulp or you can re-purpose it in baked goods.
Notes: This recipe is my go to for coffee, cereal, and cooking. Feel free to add less water if you want the consistency to be thicker or add flavorings like vanilla extract or cinnamon.
Unfortunately, at this time Wix doesn't offer an option for me to add a print feature. For now the only way to print my recipes is to print the webpage. I'm hoping the feature will be available in the future. Thank you for the feedback and I hope you enjoy the recipes you try!
I love your recipes and am going to try several in the next couple of weeks. It is a lot easier for me to print and follow. I wonder if you would consider a print option/feature that would print the recipe only and not the whole web page. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes.
