This orange sauce is super easy to make and it's great for meal prepping. It's delicious with rice, noodles, vegetables, tofu, tempeh, chickpeas or any combination of them.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (About 2-3 oranges worth)

  • 1/4 low sodium tamari

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • 1 tsp minced ginger

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2-1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Combine the water and cornstarch in a small pot. Once the cornstarch is completely dissolved, add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

  2. Heat on medium until it comes to a simmer, mixing occasionally. Once it comes to a simmer, remove from heat and allow to cool completely before transferring to an air tight container. Store in the fridge for 7-10 days.
